Marilyn's Place and Learning Center
Marilyn's Place and Learning Center, located at St. Luke's-Roosevelt Hospital's Radiation Oncology Department, celebrated its opening day on July 26, 2007.
Marilyn's Place and Learning Center offers a private and comfortably furnished, "homey" area where patients can relax after treatments, visit with family members, meet with their physicians and review a wide-variety of medical literature and information.
Marilyn's Place and Learning Center features:
- Couch
- Two Desks and Chairs
- Tables and Chairs
- Club Chair
- Two computers with Internet Service
- Color Printer
- Bookcase filled with medical books, brochures and other literature
- Stereo/CD player and CD's
- Curtains, framed pictures, lamps and other decorations
In addition to creating Marilyn's Place and Learning Center, the Brodoff family has also equipped the cancer treatment room at St. Luke's-Roosevelt Hospital with free telephone service for patients (unlimited local and domestic calls).
